Why don’t you take a seat for me. Right over there.
Promises of riches, big houses, nice cars, exotic vacations and more time with your family are all apart of the MLM dream scheme. The marketers who promote their programs know how to tap into the emotions of people in order to get them to sign on to whatever they are selling — and it works.
I should know. I was also a victim.
Although I didn’t lose as much as others, I did buy into the possibility of what might happen if I gave it a try anyway. When I look back, sometimes I hate myself for going through that experience, but not only has it made me stronger, but it has given me the tools necessary to help all of you out there avoid the same mistake, and possibly help to open the eyes or may be involved in those programs right now.
It doesn’t matter what program you are in, because the fundamental practices of each one are very similar. For this hustle supplement, I’ve found a couple of videos done by Dateline NBC that highlight the highs and lows of these programs, and expose the dirty secrets behind their marketing practices. Some of what you see will be shocking — stuff that I didn’t even realize when I was involved. Armed with this knowledge, I hope it helps those of you out there to make an educated decision about your economic future.

Pyramid schemes are amazing, no matter how little they reinvent themselves, they always seem to make money………………….

They are not all pyramid schemes,
Some of those people are to blame, they weren’t already well of with quixtar and want to blame them being worse off because of quixtar. Video has a horrible slant towards mlm, maybe quixtar. but some of that stuff is false, good video, but some of the stuff is bullcrap. Quixtar isn’t great tho, you can make $$ u’ll jus thave to work ur [edited] ass off for ever tho

Pyramid schemes always make someone money. They just hurt more people than they help.
How’s the link you bought on my site working for you? I’d appreciate a testimonial if you like it.
One Man. One Year. $100,000 online. How’s he doing it?

Damn, those meetings are like cult meetings, scary.
Luckily I’ve never fallen for one of those programs and I think if people fall for those programs then they have to blame themselves in the first place, cause there are enough warnings about the scammy nature of most of those programs.

I, too, was a victim a couple of years back, but now I can’t be bothered about them. Better to concentrate on affiliate programs, paid reviews, and so on. For those who have not been stung yet, just follow this simple rule: don’t put up any money upfront if any of these schemes ask for money.. But then, like they say, there’s always a sucker born every minute!

King - You’re right, sometimes the format may be very similar underneath with a new face on top. People are sometimes gullible for anything ‘new!’
Wes - They all aren’t all pyramids, but they have to work extra hard to differentiate themselves from being called that. Unfortunately in the eyes of public opinion they fall in that category. I guess people would rather be safe than sorry.
OneYear - Surprisingly well! I can tell youre really motivated by the volume of visitors who come to check you out, and then come here also.
BigBaller - If you ever go to one of those meetings, be able to quickly find the exit! Sit at the door if you have to!
Markk - Those programs are my focus right now as well. Best to build something with a proven system that doesn’t rely on convincing people to do anything.

That Dateline Investigation was very interesting and NOT surprising at all! Of course, people join those things with the hope of making money that they didn’t have before. In turn, they give up money they don’t have (making an investment) and NEVER re-coup their funds. They continue “making investments” until they finally get it…
The kicker for me is the pressure aspect. If I feel as if I’m under pressure to do/buy something, I’m least likely to do it…an opportunity missed is bound to come around again. In this case of MLM, they ALWAYS come around.

The unfortunate thing about this whole MLM business is that more people are going to continue to lose. I say this because, although you and other mediums such as Dateline, are trying thier best to warn the average consumer, it won’t always work. People are conditioned in this society to want nice things and people are also conditioned in this society to believe “it won’t happen to me.” I for one, want the lavish things in life. I want to give my children everything they ask for (within reason). I want to be able to spend time with my husband without having to worry about taking time off from work or having to choose one over the other. For those people who are desperate to make money and to have a certain lifestyle, the warning signs may be ignored. So, the question is, how do we assure people that having wonderful lifestyles are great and should be desired, but that the best way to attain it is to work hard? So, cooliojones please continue to open our eyes to the schemes and the “hustles” of the MLM companies, so we can continue to make wise decisions.

I have seen that show on dateline. I found it funny. They have had them quickstar events in Atlanta.

Going back and watching the video all the way through it interesting to see how people can con other people and not feel bad about it. Karma will be knocking on their door.

I kind agree with the first commentator, these people always seem to make money on the same old schemes. Don’t people ever learn?
Humans will never seize to amaze me.
