How many times have you heard this phrase over and over again on television and radio ads? Of course one would think there is a catch, and there often is. Often the terms are outlandish, or no one wants to help. It’s a Catch-22 really: you need a chance to rebuild your credit, but no one wants to give you that chance because of your bad credit.

Well usually Da Hustler doesn’t cover anything related to this topic, but with the mortgage industry going through the ringer in recent weeks, I feel like this information may be beneficial to someone. A new website called BadCreditOffers.com is a great source for information on bad credit loans. From credit card offers to auto loans, this site is a great resource for those who want to get on the right road to credit repair. It seems as debtors have to accept what is offered to them, instead of having a choice. A bad situation doesn’t mean you should pay 40% interest for a line of credit, and this site forces the lenders to compete almost as if they are trying to attract top tier clients. This is how it should be, and another reason why Da Hustler likes this interesting compilation. If you or someone you know needs a resource to life rebuilding, be sure to keep Bad Credit Offers on your list!

No matter where you go these days , it seems like a cell phone is not too far away. The doctor’s office, the movies, the grocery store — anywhere people gather, you can bet you last dollar that there is a Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, or Motorola device in the immediate vicinity. Before now it was hard to use this to your advantage in hustling, but now there is a company that wants to help you do just that.

Cellit Mobile Marketing specializes in mobile marketing via cellular phones and handsets. Their primary market is small to medium-sized businesses, and using their tools you can reach out to present customers while also attracting new ones. The company also has two other sister sites/companies: CouponZap which targets restaurants, night clubs and bars to deliver their promotional coupons to your handset, and House4Cell which sends out real estate information. These tools would make a great addition to any hustle because here in the states, I do not know of any company that is doing anything like this. I especially like the nightclub aspect because you can pull party goers to your spot at the last minute when they haven’t made up their mind which club to go to. The same can be said for restaurants that offer specials during the week; sometimes you just don’t know what to pick for dinner, and a good money-saving special could be just the ticket when pondering your next meal.

When I went to the website for House4Cell, the innovative ways that agents are using the service is absolutely amazing. Da Hustler doesn’t consider real estate a lucrative hustle, unless you are already at the top or come in with a significantly different angle. House4Cell offers you that angle, giving your prospects the information they are looking for in a non-intrusive way. For all of these sites, prices were not readily visible, so I can’t say how affordable or out-of-reach the services are; however, since small business are included in the marketing campaign, I would assume it would be within reach of the average small firm.

It’s great to get in on the front end of a trend, so you can ride it out all the way! Da Hustler wanted to incorporate text messaging into his business practices for a while now, and it looks like the wish was granted. Whether you are washing windows, giving directions or cleaning garages, there are different ways to use a service like this (sending a thank you to a customer, delivering helpful info and hints, etc.). One of the best ways to conduct a hustle is to think outside of the box and offer something different, and Cellit offers the future in advertising today.

From time to time, Da Hustler will review new products and services on your behalf, to see if they measure up to be considered legitimate, or if they are just another fake hustle. Today I will be reviewing a site called Deal Locker.

Deal locker is a site that uses coupon codes and free online coupons to attract readers and advertisers to their site. At first glance, the site looks very basic, and navigation doesn’t jump right out at you. There are a LOT of links under the “find stores with coupon codes by category” and because of this I already feel like this is going to be a lot of work. Using the search feature, I tried to find a couple of stores such as Macy’s, Home Depot and Lowe’s. Surprisingly the site found coupons for Macy’s and Home Depot, but balked on Lowe’s. If it can’t find a coupon in the database, it does an eBay search and displays those related results which can include anything from coupons to gift cards. It’s kind of neat to be able to readily search for a specific store’s coupon, so I’ll give them credit there.

You can add a coupon to the database or search for specific stores using the links at the top of the page, but my favorite part of the site is the blog. This is where deals are highlighted, with a short description of how and where to get them. Also you will see more standard ‘blog’ features, such as Categories and the Archives. Here is where you will find pictures to go along with the specified deals, and it helps to spark the interest of the reader. I spent the most time on this page because the info was posted in a clear and concise manner. I like that.

Overall would I qualify this site as a hustle? Well, the interface needs some more tweaking, but the idea seems solid because Da Hustler loves to save a buck. Simply think of the stores you want to shop and save money on, then see if coupons exist in the database — takes only a minute or two of your time.

Website: Deallocker.com
Online Since: March 24, 2007
How the Site Makes Money: Google AdSense, (possible) deals with merchants
Truly Different or Fake Hustle?: Honestly, the concept isn’t new, but it is useful
Jump On Board or Cry ‘Oh Lord!’: Doesn’t take a lot of your time, so jump on board

Hustle or No? – For you, a good money-saving hustle.

What do you do with your old cell phones? if they are new enough, Da Hustler tries to sell them online on eBay. If not, then I turn to craigslist. If I still have no dice then oftentimes I’ll just hang on to it by sticking it in some remote corner, file cabinet or in the back of a drawer. However, I just found out that there is a company that will pay you for your old cell phones!

Cell for Cash allows you to sell a cell phone to CellForCash.com and get paid! The prices for the phones vary, and just browsing through some of the listings, I would get anywhere from a couple of dollars to over $400 if I were to sell my old cell phone. The brand new phone that I won from the T-Mobile promotion only goes for $4! With prices like that, some may wonder “why bother at all?”

Think like a true hustler… to make some money!

I didn’t write this up as an actual hustle, but if you wanted to put the work in this could turn into one! Just think…place an ad for people to donate their old phones for you to disposed of them properly. Gather up all the phones, check the site to see how much you could get, then send the phones away! There is also a donation link if you want to donate your phones to a charity of your choice. I’d use this for the phones that either have no value or maybe when it gets close to tax time and you want more deductions.

CellForCash.com has a pretty good business model from what I can see, and using the service can buy you lunch or a day…or 365 days if you work it right!

From time to time, Da Hustler will review new products and services on your behalf, to see if they measure up to be considered legitimate, or if they are just another fake hustle. Today I will be reviewing the site Wirefly.

What is Wirefly? It’s a site where you can view and buy wireless phones and plans. They also do comparisons between the top wireless companies so that you can get the best deal. According to themselves, they are the number one seller of wireless phones and plans, but I don’t see any awards or mentions by Consumer Reports, J.D. Power & Associates, etc., so for now I will just take them at their word.

As you know, Da Hustler loves a deal, so being able to get the best price on one site is very cool to me. However, it will take some time to get used to the interface because it is very busy (or am I getting old?). There is so much information, but it almost seems like it is crammed on one page at a time. Despite this, Da Hustler uses sites like these to make sure he is paying the lowest price possible for anything. In fact, before I won the T-Mobile promotion last month, I HATED my wireless phone bill, and wanted to do anything to cut it down. I wasn’t expecting free, but you know I didn’t pass it up either!

The only problem I see with Wirefly is that it doesn’t have all of the complete and up-to-date information displayed on the site. When looking up prices for plans at T-Mobile, the lowest one I saw was for $29.99, but on T-Mobile’s site you can find a plan intended for kids for $19.99 (50 anytime minutes, free weekends, etc). The best way to approach these sites is to compare them against the original vendor, then see which plans fit your needs. Also, go into the store to actually test the phones, then hop online to see who has the best deal. It’s a litle bit of work, but money saved is money earned!

Wirefly is owned by a company named InPhonic, and they just recently struck a deal with Brightstar to streamline their processes. InPhonic and Brightstar claim that this new alliance will help customers, but reading the press release, all I could see is fatter pockets for the owners. so that remains to be seen. If they are able to do more of what they are doing now, and maybe even get exclusive deals with the major players in the cellular phone industry that would lower prices and plans even further, then that’s some news I wouldn’t mind reading!
