Bonus Hustle #2: T-Mobile @Home Service FREE for 1 Year

HOT of the presses! This promo dropped yesterday, so I wanted to let all of you out there in on the scoop.

T-Mobile has a special going on that promotes their new T-Mobile @ Home add-on plan. Here’s how it works: you will be able to make UNLIMITED domestic calls while at home and at T-Mobile HotSpots. The service uses a special phone and a wireless router in order to access the service. Kinda cool huh?

So some will wonder “How in the heck does this benefit me?!” I wondered the same thing, but here’s the benefit: not only can you DOWNGRADE your plan if you have an expensive one (the minimum is $39.99 though, don’t go lower than that), but you will have better reception at home as well! So if you have shotty service in your home, or if the signal is weak because you live in a remote area or high up in a building with thick walls, then this is for you.

Of course, the caveat is that you will have to get T-Mobile service if you don’t already have it, and because it’s an add-on, it costs $9.99 and as stated before, you have to have a plan that is $39.99 or higher. Here are the pros and cons as I see it:

5th Hustle: Maximizing Google AdSense, Part II

This hustle tip deals with the more tag, and how you can use it to maximize your posts. You want to make sure that you don’t have your visitors scrolling down a page that seems to go on into infinity, and that is exactly what the more tags prevents. By doing this, you can have excerpts of your posts listed, and your readers can choose to view the remaining parts of that post (which in turn will increase your page views), or go on to the next one. You must always think about your visitor experience, because you want people to come back to your site again and again, and tell all their friends and loved ones! And when that happens, pretty soon EVERYONE will know about your site, and you’ll be about as popular as eBay in only a couple of months!

Dream on kiddo!

No really, you do want to try to buildup your loyal subscriber base, and people like things that are short, concise, easy to read, and informative. The more tag accomplishes this by: … Continue Reading

5th Hustle: Maximizing Google AdSense, Part I

This hustle is part of a series that will help you to truly maximize your earnings using Google’s AdSense product. I’ve seen the results of this hustle first-hand, and since many people may not know about it, let me fill you in.

If you’ve never heard about Google AdSense, here’s a very brief overview: it places ads on your website, and when people click on the ads, you get paid! That’s the short version. There is more to it, and you have to be careful on how you use it or you WILL be banned (not a good thing for online success). Now Google’s AdSense product has been around for a while, and many people use the earning from it to buy anything from lunch once a week to paying off the mortgage on their house each month. I don’t know about you, but I love it when someone else wants to pay my bills! This article assumes that you are using AdSense already, or are planning to use it. So here’s a little information on how to tell Google to correctly utilize the information located on your page.

AdSense has a tool called Section Targeting (more info on how to use and implement this on your site can be found here), and this tool can really change your profit margin literally overnight. Sometimes you may have parts of your site that aren’t being utilized to their fullest potential in regards to AdSense’s display of ads. Other times, you may have parts of your site that you would rather go ignored. Why is this important? Two reasons:

  • You want AdSense to display relevant ads within your site so that it blends in with your content more completely and is congruent to your site. You don’t want Cheerios to show up on a site about music and entertainment (I don’t see the correlation, and neither will your visitors).
